While still in it's infancy, Dreamtime has firmly established itself in the market as one of the leading suppliers of nursery and children's bedroom sets.

Set up just under a year ago, the business was born out of partnership between Cork men Darren Hough and Anthony Hayes who, at the time, were both eager to set-up their own enterprise.

Having worked for a number of years in furniture sales, Darren and Anthony had both considered opening their own small businesses and after researching the local market decided to combine their ideas and embark on a new venture together. "We were both looking at different projects which were much smaller than this and then we both realised there was a hole in the market for a specialised nursery and children's bedding company," explained Darren.

Having made the decision to set-up Dreamtime together, Darren and Anthony worked hard to ensure that their new company could offer parents across Cork something which would be truly special. Darren explained that while there would always be inherent risks with setting up a new business and a tendency to opt for the safe products which would be guaranteed to be sold, they sought to also find nursery and bedroom products which would be different to the usual product by sourcing new suppliers and finding a product that no one else had.

Finding the right premises to showcase these products was also important to Darren and Anthony, and so after much consideration they opted for a large 5,000 square feet shop at Westpoint Business Park on the Link Road, Ballincollig which would allow them to showcase their products in a modern, spacious showroom.

Today Dreamtime supplies the latest nursery and bedroom styles from Ireland and continental Europe including cot bed sets, single bedroom sets, mid-sleepers, high-sleepers and bunks. They also supply a vast range nursery accessories such as moses baskets, changing units and even baby grows as well as prams and car seats . These products are available in lower, middle and higher price ranges to ensure that there really is something for everyone in store.

While still just opened less than a year, Darren and Anthony have already noticed that they are getting a lot of repeat business and referrals from happy customers, an achievement they attribute to the importance they place on customer service.
