A Cork Financial Director has been nominated for the Champagne Nicholas Feuillatte Women of the Year Awards, which are due to take place later this year in Cork.

Patsy Supple of the Capella Castlemartyr Hotel has been nominated for the awards for her contribution to the property and construction industry. The award will be presented at a Gala Dinner on June 7 at the Silversprings Moran Hotel, Cork, with up to 600 guests present.

"This is the inaugural year of the awards which honour women who have excelled in whatever area they are in, whether it be business, sport, charity work or simply exceptional achievement of any type," said Tom Desmond, Managing Director of GWL (Galvins Wholesale Ltd), distributors of Nicholas Feuillatte Champagne.

"Patsy is being nominated for her incredible contribution to the property and construction industry. She is a prominent figure in the running of Capella as well as being the Cork Representative on the CIF National Executive. She is also a board member of Corcadorca Theatre Company and a board member of Comber, a charity that runs a Romanian re-housing initiative for adults with disabilities."

Thirty-six women will be nominated from the six counties of Munster with a minimum of five women nominated from each county. Each month one nominee from each county in Munster is selected and the winner will be announced in June. Nominations will feature in RSVP Magazine monthly in the run up to the awards with the general public choosing six county winners and an overall winner on the night.
