A delegation from the Cork Chamber visited Brussels last week to meet with key members of the European Commission as well as the three MEPs from Ireland South.

The delegation was led by the newly re-elected President of Cork Chamber, Joe Gantly and the Chamber Chief Executive, Conor Healy.

Included in the group were representatives of Cork City Council and Cork County Council, CIT and UCC, as well as representatives of Cork businesses and senior Cork Chamber staff.

Apart from meeting South MEPs, the delegation also met with Commissioner Charlie McCreevy; Catherine Day, Secretary General of the European Commission and David O'Sullivan, Director of the Commission's DG Trade.
