The company offers hundreds of courses, from basic computer and keyboard skills to various software packages and Diplomas covering a range of subjects from IT to business and marketing. Christina attributes its success to the flexible learning methods it offers students.

“We get a lot of people who do the course from home, so they’re making their own time and can carry on with their own business during the day.

“It allows staff to fit in their training as and when they find free time, so if someone chooses to train intensively over a number of weeks or to fit it into their busy schedule over a period of months, all will become away with a certificate recognised by employers everywhere.

“We provide computer training, seminar training courses and tailored training solutions to match your objectives and keep you competitive. We work with every size of business and organisation and provide local solutions with a professional approach that gets results.”

For her part Christina says she’s delighted to have made the move to Pitman. “I’m enjoying what I’m doing. It’s a different kind of job to what I had being doing previously. It’s more interactive working in training, and I meet new people every day. Our immediate plans here are to introduce corporate training and expand the business.
“We’ve gotten off to a great start here, which suggests that there is a definite market here.”

Pitman Training Cork is located in River House, Blackpool Park and offers the full range of Diploma courses and single modules providing quality training for students and giving employers access to a higher calibre of potential employees.

The centre is now open and students have started training already. If you wish to call in and see the operation or register for any course, simply call the Cork centre on 021 4286555.
