Cork Chamber, in partnership with BT Ireland, is currently seeking nominations for Cork Company of the Year. This year, there are three Award categories - Cork Company of the Year, Cork SME of the Year and Emerging Cork Company of the Year. The winning companies will have demonstrated a commitment to success through innovation, investment, expansion, strategic acquisition or service performance that has led to a significant increase in business. "Every year when meeting with our members at events and meetings, I am continuously inspired by the level of commitment, enthusiasm and success of so many Cork companies. They deserve recognition and reward for the contributions they make to their sectors, to their customers and to the Region. These awards give our members the opportunity to acknowledge their deserved business success," said Conor Healy, Chief Executive, Cork Chamber announcing details of the Awards. "Previous winners have seen the value of entering these Awards in terms of PR, peer recognition and staff morale," he added, when urging companies large and small to enter the awards. Leo O'Leary, Head of Regional Sales, BT Ireland said, "We believe in rewarding and recognising successful companies and their positive impact on the economy, on employment and on the region's reputation as a key business location. As a leading provider of networked IT services our role is to enable those companies thrive in a rapidly changing and competitive world". Nominations, which can be made online at www.corkchamber.ie, must be received by Friday, November 14. After this date, a shortlist will be drawn up. The winners of the Cork Company of the Year 2008 will be announced at the Cork Chamber Annual Dinner at City Hall on Friday, February 6, 2009. |
