The new commercial development, which will be located on the main Whitegate Road, is expected to be completed for summer 2008 and will offer 19 units and four showrrooms. The development is from Star Homes, a Midleton based firm best known for their residential developments. “As a commercial property owner located in Midleton, I have had so many people approaching me looking for commercial space in the area that we were forced to go outside of the town due to lack of commercial space,” says Sean Walsh, Managing Director, Star Homes. “We were in the process of trying to find a new office space as we had outgrown our original offices. When we couldn’t find anything suitable in the area and after so many inquiries from other business owners, I decided to take my experience in residential development and build a commercial development. Having purchased the site in Ballinacurra which had been sitting idle for 15 years and with the assistance of the Cork County Council we were able to secure planning for the site and can now offer the business people of East Cork an opportunity to run their businesses locally in a first class commercial development.” Units for the Ballinacurra Business Park are available through Burke Wall & Associates Property Partners are the sales agents for the site.
