A new A600,000 state of the art enterprise centre aimed at nurturing indigenous small business will open for public viewing tomorrow, Friday November 28 at St Mary's College, Emmet Place, Youghal. With over 3,500 feet of dedicated office space, this enterprise project is designed to provide a supportive environment to local enterprises, while encouraging them to innovate and grow. Once fully operational the centre will house in excess of 14 small local companies. The centre is designed to maximise the provision of space for micro-enterprise start-ups, and is aimed at fostering an enterprise culture in Youghal and its environs. Crucial to this project is the competitive pricing structure – recognition that initial start-up phase is often the most difficult task for every business especially in today's current economic environment. Town Clerk Liam Ryan welcomed the opening of Enterprise Youghal saying, "Youghal Town Council is keen to develop home-grown business to fuel local economic growth. Fundamentally it is about growing local business in order to promote the employment of local people." Funding partners in the project include an array of organisations such as Youghal Town Council, Cork County Council, Enterprise Ireland, Pobail, South East Cork Area Development, South Cork Enterprise Board and Youghal Credit Union. |
