The Radisson SAS Hotel & Spa, Cork have announced the appointment of Michèal Stapleton to the position of General Manager, where he will have responsibility for the overall strategic development and operation of the 129 bedroom hotel.

Mr Stapleton has an in-depth knowledge of the luxury hotel market, having spent the past three years as Director of Operations at the Radisson SAS Hotel & Spa in Galway, bringing to 18 the total number of years experience he has amassed in the hospitality industry. He worked in various management positions for the Conrad in Dublin for almost 15 years before joining the Radisson SAS Hotel & Spa in Galway in 2004.

The Radisson SAS Hotel & Spa Cork was the first international hotel brand to come to Cork. Its priority focus is on the delivery of the highest standard of service and style for both business and leisure guests. Incorporating the 19th Century Ditchley House, the multi- million Radisson SAS Hotel & Spa boasts the luxurious Retreat Spa and an award executive chef in its first class restaurant- the Island Grillroom.

The Radisson SAS Hotel & Spa Cork has grown from strength to strength since it opened in 2005 which resulted in the hotel being named 'Cork Conference Centre of the Year' at the Meteor Business Awards 2007. The hotel has also been awarded the Leading Restaurants award in 2006, 2007 & 2008.
