Counselling course launched

Counsellors are sometimes like superheroes helping people fight many different mental health issues. Having someone to talk to is a very valuable weapon for people, as they often find peace in talking to someone, especially when it is a stranger.

Cork Counselling Services is launching a new foundation course in counselling and personal development, commencing this November. The course is aimed at people who are interested in developing people skills in their own work and private lives and especially in helping and teaching roles. It also prepares participants for entry into professional counselling courses.

The eight week foundation course includes group work and offers you an opportunity to get to know yourself and to improve your ability to connect with others in a non-judgemental and supportive way.

Cork Counselling Services Training Institute is one of the country’s longest standing education centres in the area of counselling and personal development. The training courses provide a unique and exciting way to find out who you are, learn effective skills and become more competent in working with people.

The qualified trainers are practicing counsellors working within recognised codes of ethics and professional practice.

The programme is not a professional qualification or a pre-requisite for degree courses. However, students who are successful in completing the course will merit a Foundation Certificate. The tuition fee is €990. Visit corkcounsellingservices.ie for more information.
