James Sexton who has established a franchise for the Kip McGrath education technique in Cork explains the benefits he hopes it will bring to Cork.
“I did my teaching practice at Bishopstown Community School in 1991 and made the decision to return home to Cork. I have  spent the last six months researching into Kip McGrath Education Centres.

“Kip McGrath Education originated in Australia in the 1970s and has more than 500 centres worldwide.  There are more than 250 centres in the UK with Irish centres located in Dublin, Galway, Waterford, Killarney, Tralee and now Cork.

“The Cork centre will provide after school tuition (in small groups) to children aged 6 to 16 in English, Reading, Spelling, Maths and Irish.  Each tuition session will be broken into a range of activities using textbooks, worksheets and computer programmes.  “The centre will be inviting with modern technological facilities. The website is www.kipmcgrath.com   or www.kipmcgrath.co.uk.”

James added, “I am currently getting everything prepared and hope to be ready for the start of September`”.

James now has a premises at Unit 2, Ardrostig, Bishopstown which  is conveniently located opposite Dunnes Stores, Bishopstown Court, to the rear of Bishopstown Autos.

The centre will be aimed at the six to 16 age group.
