Meet the hero Jack and his zany gang of friends in the magical world of Christmas panto land! Jack is joined by Princess Prunellal, the girl of his dreams, and with the help of his formidable mother and his friend Evita the Cow, they set off on hilarious mission to defeat the Giant. The action will be linked by favorite songs, exciting dance routines, jokes, slapstick, lovable characters and enough audience participation to leave you hoarse by the end of the show!

Catherine Mahon-Buckley directs a cast of Corks’ favourite stars, including everyone’s favourite Dame, Jim Mulcahy along with Fionnula Linehan and Shane Morgan, Killinascully’s Pascall Scott and Richard O’ Gorman as the Giant. Jack and the Beanstalk runs at the Everyman until Sunday, January 13.

Camille O’Sullivan
Prior to kicking off her Australian & UK tour in 2008 which includes returning to the Sydney Opera House which was a sell out success last year, Cabaret chanteuse Camille O’Sullivan returns to the Cork Opera House to present her brand new show for one night only, on Thursday, December 20. Singing the music of Nick Cave, Jacques Brel, Tom Waits and David Bowie, Camille has won the accolades and admiration of many a critic and fan alike, with her recent shows being awarded ‘Best Show’ at the Dublin Fringe Festival, the ‘Spirit of Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2007’, ‘Best Music Brighton Festival 2006’ and ‘Best Artiste Australian Theatre Awards 2005’.

She has toured the world with her show (and as one of the original cast of La Clique since 2004 - a recent hit at the Dublin Fringe Festival 2007). She has been enthralling audience with her dramatic performances selling out in New York, UK & Australia, including the 3000 seated State Theatre in the Melbourne International Festival and sold out home shows at The Olympia and Cork Opera Theatre. Having decided to run away with the circus this former award winning architect has never looked back.

After Camille was spotted in La Clique 2004 by Ewan Bremner (Spud in Trainspotting) she was cast in Stephen Frears Oscar winning film Mrs Henderson Presents opposite Judi Dench, Bob Hoskins and Will Young - her singing and dancing partner in the film - they both sang the films soundtrack. As an actress she recently appeared in The Gate Theatres hit production of Sweeney Todd and shall be filming a new film in New York Nov 2007. She has also sang with Duke Special, Jack L, Damien Rice and Shane McGowan. Her show in the Opera House is expected to sell out so get there early to avoid disappointment.
