The ESB Substation in Caroline Street is the unusual setting for this concert by Eduardo Niebla, hailed by many as a world class virtuoso flamenco jazz guitar maestro who is currently recording his new album and will present this live on a 10 date concert tour of Ireland. Incredibly, his new album is his twenty third of a long and varied career.

Eduardo has also produced recordings for many other musicians and collaborated in countless productions that have encompassed the whole spectrum of musical styles. Artists include Belinda Carlisle, Tom Newman and George Michael to name but a few.

After all the years of dedication to composing, arranging and performing music distributed worldwide, Eduardo Niebla has now achieved international recognition for his expertise and creativity on the guitar. Eduardo was born in Tangiers to Andalusian parents in 1955 and is the seventh son of the seventh child, regarded in mythology as a magical son. He has been resident in Britain since 1978, becoming a powerful force on the British music scene and influencing the trend for fusion and acoustic music across the world, whilst always remaining true to his humble roots and performing with an exquisite melancholy.

His lyrical, breathtaking flamenco gypsy jazz has not only led to great acclaim and huge respect within his adopted UK homeland, but also internationally: concert tours have included the Jaipur Festival India, the Tbilisi International Jazz Festival Georgia, the Odessa Jazz Carnival Ukraine, Glastonbury Festival, the San Isidro Fiesta Madrid, the Olympic Games Greece and concert tours all over the world.

Eduardo Niebla plays the ESB Substation on Caroline St on Saturday 6 February. Tickets are €15 or (€12 concession) and available at the Triskel Box Office. For further information ring 021-4272022.
