It's a musical four-way…a face off of potentially deadly proportions...the kind of show your mother warned you about…a slap in the face of decency, morals, good taste and musical refinement. It's the skid marks on your underpants, it's that translucent sticky goo hanging from your nose and dripping slowly onto your lower lip after a particularly violent vomiting session, and it's the delirious feeling one experiences right after said vomiting session. It's I'll Eat Your Face VS Lamp in Now That's What I Call Manual Strangulation.
The Cork two-pieces are suitably pumped and buffed up for the release of their split CD which they launch in the Whiskey on Friday, September 5 (and which will be available in Plug'd Records). I'll Eat Your Face will no doubt be blast beating through their blink-and-you'll-miss-it grind-core, complete with stockings on heads, inane proclamations on expectant audience members and many (many) shout outs (Yeeeaaahhhhhh). Lamp are relative newcomers, but will be known to some through the members involvement with Cork prog-rockers Jezery. The prog theme is continued with Lamp who are not altogether unlike Primus and King Crimson. Nice! Sea Area Forecast round of the bill.
