Jinx Lennon: Nut job or the only sane guy in the village? The Dundalk native certainly doesn't do things by half. The subject of his own RTÉ documentary last year, Lennon is certainly a fascinating character that is capable of unifying and dividing opinion in equal measures.

He's a casio-keyboard wielding, punk-rock, folk-hammering minimalist whose apparent lack of 'musical ability' never hinders him from getting his point across. So nut job or voice of reason? You'd be crazy to opt for the latter! But whether Jinx embodies the anti-folk movement, represents anti-establishment, advocates antidisestablishmentarianism or is merely some folking madman with that guitar, the aforementioned casio keyboard, and a head full of ideals is anyone's guess.

Also playing on the night are the equally (southern) fried abstract sociopath collective Los Langero's. It's been quiet on the Langero front of late…too quiet if you know what I mean.

What they have been concocting in their underground lair is anyone's guess, but last time around they could be found sounding like the unholy 'beastly f**king' offspring of Primus after a bleary-eyed buckfast-abaited-fondle with some cowpoke hillbilly funky surf punks riding bow-legged on the crest of a particularly ska-like wave. This weird and wonderful double header is happening at the Pavilion on Thursday, June 12 and De Barra's, Clonakility on Friday, June 13.
