In addition, Oh my God, it might be him! from Cork are the youngest band playing at the festival, with members aged 15, 16 and 17. These girls have only been gigging for a year, but are showing early promise, having won recording time in a band competition in Mitchelstown and recently supported the Sultans Of Ping in Cyprus Avenue.

Delivering a kooky-psychedelic pop-rock shaped by the influence of the best from the 60s and 70s, OMGIMBH are pure pop for now people. The band will be in Cyrpus Avenue on Sunday, April 27 at 3.30p.m. The Radio's gig in Cyprus Avenue on Sunday, April 27 at 10.30pm is definitely one to go along to.With the single 'Whatever gets You through Today' taken from their album finding its way on to the radio air waves in both Ireland and the UK as well as the song featuring in hit US tv series Grays anatomy and new movie Imagine me and You alongside two Meteor nominations the future is looking bright for The Radio.

Another element to the Ladyfest is the Visual Art Exhibition which will be held in the old ESB building on Caroline Street from Wednesday, April 21 to Sunday, April 27. Deirdre Walsh, who is organizing the event said, "The old ESB building is a perfect location for an art exhibition as it is very spacious with loads of light. Also, it is directly opposite Cyprus Avenue where the music side of the festival will be taking place".

Zine making is just one of the unique workshops which will take place during the art exhibition. This will be headed by Gethan Dick, who will be travelling from London especially for the festival . She will work with groups of visitors to the exhibition getting them to write, draw or talk about their thoughts and reactions to the art they have just seen.

She will then photocopy everyone's work into a 'Do-It-Yourself Zine' and give everyone who participated a copy. A collaborative giant Origami (Japanese folding paper) workshop in the Art Space and live alternative Electronic music are just some of the other exciting features of the Visual Art Exhibition.

Ladyfest Cork claim the festival will be "a rocking feminist Do-It-Yourself not-for-profit community based festival mixed with good for the soul yoga, belly dancing, permaculture, chart your cycle, body image, film screenings, discussions and chill out areas to get to know your fellow ladyfesters!"
