To celebrate reaching double figures, GIY have a mouth-watering line up for their Food Matters festival 2018 which will take place at the Grow HQ on Friday 7 September. The festival features a juicy programme packed full of talks, garden walks, demos and workshops.

Getting celebrations underway on Friday will be Grow HQ head chef, JB Dubois, with a seasonal seven course tasting menu made entirely from fresh ingredients grown on site at the HQ.

On Saturday 8, between 10am and 1pm, focus will shift to Apples 101, a three hour apple-tiser celebrating the humble fruit during the height of apple harvest season in Ireland.

Then at 3pm on Sunday, the stars of RTE’s 'Grow Cook Eat' Karen O'Donohoe and Mick Kelly will take visitors behind the scenes of the show, which is filmed on site in GROW HQ.

GIY Founder Michael Kelly said: “It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come in ten years from our first GIY group here in Waterford.

We’re delighted to host this very special event to gather together our loyal customers and GIYers from all over Ireland to celebrate with us.”
