1. Whether we like it or not, the only sun your toes might see this summer will be when you're on your holidays so make sure you take advantage of the moment with lots of gorgeous nail polish. Rimmel do a great range of nail colours at a reasonable price , so even if you'll only get one chance to wear them you won't be out of pocket. Rimmel's 60 second polish (€5.25) is available in a wide range of colours including Coralicious, Green Envy and Sunrise which are especially good with a tan! 2. Save space in your suitcase for all that holiday shopping with one of Lush's solid shampoo bars. These handy must haves can be used for showering or even to wash your clothes with as well as of course, washing your hair. Lush's Seanik bar ( €7.95) is perfect for holidays. It contains two kinds of softening seaweed, nori and Irish moss, which are both excellent at conditioning the hair and sea salt. And with fragrances of lemon, jasmine, mimosa and orange blossom, it smells great too! 3. Fans of Sarah Jessica Parker's previous fragrances will adore the latest edition to her growing range, Covet Pure Bloom. While I must admit that her last fragrance didn't appeal to me half as much as the original SJP Lovely, Covet Pure Bloom has really raised my expectations of the star's scents. With notes of coconut water, Indonesian Pikake, musk, plum and sandalwood, Covet Pure Bloom is a distinctive yet unobtrusive fragrance which simply oozes femininity. SJP's Covet Pure Bloom is now available at The Perfume Shop and retails at €33 for a 30 ml EDP spray. 4. If the summer has left your skin looking a little worse for wear then you should consider picking up La Roche Posay's new must-have product Cicaplast. Cicaplast works to protect the skin and prevents bacterial infections while speeding up and improving the repair process of wounded skin. The new product is ideal for treating scrapes and cuts, insect bites, chapped skin, sun-burn, post-cosmetic peels and skin irritations. La Roche-Posay Cicaplast is available from pharmacies across Cork and retails at €12.50. 5. If you haven't already succumbed to the lavender revolution, Crabtree and Evelyn's gorgeous new lavender range will make sure you do. Their gorgeous range includes a fantastic glycerine soap (€15), triple-milled soap (€12.00), hand therapy cream (50ml for €8.50) and a luxurious hand and body lotion (€12). Not only do these products feel fantastic on the skin but, as you know Lavender is said to have lots of benefits and is great for easing migraines, stress, and nervous tension. |
