Since every fashionista needs her rest, this year one of the top gifts on her wish list will be the Blankie.
Developed by Deirdre McNamara, Blankies have captured the imagination of women who like a little luxury, with Kathryn Thomas and Lucy Kennedy already big fans
Each Blankie measures 60” by 40” – the perfect size for the couch, the car, or wherever you want to snuggle up and keep warm. Blankies are filled with a 70 per cent down and 30 per cent feather mix, and box stitched in 100 per cent combed cotton so that the Blankie stays evenly filled. The colour palette of six different combinations has been chosen to suit any décor or tastes and includes french roast and zinc, jester red and wild orchid pink, dazzling blue and bright lime, beech and putty, imperial purple and lavender, french roast and baby blue.
Priced in the region of €50, each Blankie comes with its own colour co-ordinated stuff bag – making it easy to carry with you, whether for a day out or on a long journey, or just to tidy away.
The Blankie is now available at Marble & Lemon on Emmet Place, Meadows & Byrne in Blarney, Granny’s Bottom Drawer in Kinsale, The Ballymaloe Shop in Midleton and the Bandon Craft Centre.
