There's no denying that celebrity fragrances are coming to a peak this season with more celebs than ever before launching their very own scents this season, and while some of these fragrances are no doubt going to prove very popular, there are others which you might prefer to leave on the shelf.

  1. Intimately Beckham Night Her (€27.00). Of all the celeb fragrances launched this month, the one which surprised me most is the new Intimately Beckham Night Her. This intense fragrance features notes of tangerine, cinnamon, clove and sandalwood and I think will prove very popular with women who favour a crisp yet mature scent.
  2. Emporio Armani Diamonds (€40.00) Beyonce is the voice and face behind this must have fragrance from Armani. Containing notes of raspberry, rose, cederwood and vanilla this new scent is strong yet feminine and is the perfect fragrance solution for both day and night for this season.
  3. Kate by Kate Moss (€31.00). This new fragrance from top model Kate Moss contains a combination of floral and musky tones which combine to make it an ultimately young, feminine fragrance which I think will be a popular daytime choice for women across Cork.
  4. Christina Aguilera (€23.00). As with most of her music, I really think the new fragrance from Christina Aguilera will prove a major hit with girls across Cork. A floral and oriental fragrance this scent contains notes of exotic fruit sorbet, plum, jasmine, musk and vanilla to create an understated, feminine fragrance which will take you from day through to night.
  5. M by Mariah Carey ; This new fragrance from songstress Mariah Carey will no doubt prove a popular choice with women young and old. The subtle floral fragrance contains top notes of marshmallow, and sea breeze accords which combine with oriental and floral notes to create a fresh, feminine and flirty fragrance.
  6. Sean John Unforgivable Woman (€49.00 ); This delicate, new fragrance from Sean John presents itself as a great day and night fragrance and is ideally suited to women who like fruity and floral scents. Containing notes of pina coloda, orange, jasmine, patchouli and Coco de Mer, Unforgiveable will brighten any dull winter day and it’s unusual scents will turn heads at night.
  7. Daisy by Marc Jacobs; This new fragrance from fashion designer Marc Jacobs will appeal to women who prefer a strong, floral fragrance. With a limited number of top, heart and base notes comprising of strawberry, violet leaves, red grapefruit, violet, musk, vanilla and white woods, Daisy is undeniably feminine and in my opinion would make a great day fragrance but, might be a bit too girly for night wear.
  8. L by LAMB-Gwen Steffani (€36.50). I must admit that L, the first fragrance from L.A.M.B.(the fashion label created by singer Gwen Stefani) was a little bit of a let down for me. Gwen has described the fragrance as like herself being “ shrunken into a box” , and if this is the case I must say Gwen should keep it fullsize and stick to the music. With notes including  hyacinth leaves, pear, violet leaves,  sweet pea, orange blossom and musk, L is a very strong scent which I personally found to  be a little overpowering.
  9. Stunning by Katie Price ( €24.00); What I love about the new fragrance from Katie Price aka Jordan is the fact that this fragrance seems a complete contradiction of her somewhat bad girl days. An ultimately sweet and youthful fragrance, Stunning contains notes of mandarin, strawberry and vanilla and is probably best suited to teens and girls who favour a very strong, sweet scent.

All of these new fragrances are now available from Perfume Direct at Mahon Point Shopping Centre.

Prices represent the smallest bottle of EDT or EDP available instore.
