Inspired by the nail bars of Manhatten, New York Nail’s is offering girls across Cork something very unique and truly special.  

Open just a few weeks, the salon will no doubt prove a major hit thanks to it’s contemporary design, excellent service and most importantly friendly and highly skilled staff.

After hearing that the salon was opening in Cork I was immediately curious about what would set this salon apart from the many spas and nail bars offering their services across the city, but, once I walked through the doors of NYN I could see why this new salon was special .

For a start, and this is very important, amazingly New York Nails smells nothing like any nail salon you’ve visited before and instead of being greeted by scents of polish and removers, I could only smell the array of Yankee candles burning around the room.

The second unique feature in the salon is their magical roller back massage chairs which are fitted with a whirlpool foot spa, which mean that you can really sit back and just relax while you enjoy your pedicure or manicure.

During the treatment, Kelly Adams, who has brought this unique concept to Cork,  explained that she decided to open NYN because she felt it was time that all Leeside ladies should be able to enjoy the high quality, luxury yet affordable service that our stateside counterparts  have been enjoying for years, and there is no doubt that the nail bar has achieved just this with it’s combination of express and longer treatments which range in price from just €10 for a clean, file and polish to €40 for their top pedicure.

NYN is located at Island House on Morrissons Quay and is open Tuesday through Saturday from early till late, with private appointments available as well as late night appointments on Thursday through Saturday. Monday appointments available by advanced booking.
