Book the perfect Christmas retreat

Wednesday, 19th December, 2018 4:58pm

Are you looking for a cosy Christmas getaway? Look no further than Cullintra House.

Cullintra House in Inistioge, Kilkenny was an original ‘Hidden Ireland’ house and is open for visitors all year round and over Christmas, with four nights dinner, bed and breakfast, including Christmas Day, for €280-320 per person sharing.

You can even bring your pets free of charge!

Visitors to Cullintra House can enjoy wonderful walks to Mount Brandon, the ancient cairn dating back about 4,000 years and Lady Annaly’s Wood - all on the 230 acre farm.

Cullintra House is the home of Patricia Cantlon's family since about 1900, and was part of the Lady Annaly’s estate. The farmhouse has hosted many famous people over the years.

Log fires from the windfalls on the farm provide some toasty relaxation, and Patricia has studied cooking at Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir Ecoile de Cuisine in Oxfordshire, so visitors will be assured of fantastic meals during their stay. Patricia is also an artist and has a gallery at Cullintra House, where her paintings are on display, while her work can also be found throughout the house.

To make a reservation at Cullintra House by phone call 087-2523614 or 051-423614.
