Centocor reaffirms its commitment |

Centocor has reaffirmed its commitment to its €550 million Cork project .
Speaking at the new facility yesterday (Wednesday), Ms Kris Peterson, Company Group Chair at Johnson & Johnson said that their investment in Ringaskiddy, Co Cork is going to be critical in supporting their goal of developing and manufacturing new biomedicines adding, “This wonderful new facility will ensure that Centocor remains at the leading edge of the fast-growing biomedicine industry.”
Centocor Biologics Ireland Ltd. is expected to complete the commissioning phase of its project by the end of 2007 and will be engaged in qualification and regulatory approval phases until it becomes operational in late 2009. To date approximately 200 people have joined the company and it is expected to employ in excess of 300 people in total.
