Bus Eireann is to provide late night services on the weekends in the run-up to Christmas from Cork city to Carrigaline, Ballincollig and Midleton. The services will operate from Cork city centre on Friday 11 December, Saturday 12 December, Friday 18 December and Saturday 19 December. Buses on each service will depart from Patrick's Street at 1am, 2am and 3am on those dates. The Carrigaline service will depart from outside Debenhams on St Patrick's Street and service Douglas East Village, Maryborough Hill and Carrigaline. The Ballincollig service will depart from outside Debenhams on St Patrick's Street and service Bishopstown via Curraheen Road and Melbourne Road, and Ballincollig. The Midleton service will depart from outside Eason's on St Patrick's and service Carrigtwohill and Midleton. Single journey fares are €3 (Douglas, Bishopstown) or €5 (Ballincollig, Carrigaline, Carrigtwohill), and €8 (Midleton). "Our Nitelink services in the run-up to Christmas will enable people to enjoy all that Cork city has to offer during the festive period without having to worry about the hassle and expense involved in using other means of transport to get home," said Joe Fitzgerald, Regional Manager, Bus Eireann. |
