Cork and Kerry meet for the 17th time in 10 years of Championship Football  this Sunday at Croke Park, with a place in the All Ireland Final at stake.

Cork, the reining Munster champions and their fierce rivals Kerry, who are chasing a three-in-a-row, will meet for the second time in this campaign, with Cork having emerged victorious in June.

Conor Counihan has named his Cork starting line-up to take on the Kingdom with captain Graham Canty and Nicholas Murphy the most notable absentees at this stage. Both players are still expected to feature for the Rebels providing they come through late fitness tests in time.

Canty is still struggling with a knee ligament injury he picked up in the Munster Final against Kerry, while Murphy has a hamstring strain. Alan O’Connor and Pearse O’Neill therefore retain their midfield berths, while Derek Kavanagh is charged with the task of containing Kieran Donaghy. James McMasters meanwhile starts at centre forward.

O’Neill and Masters both started the quarter-final win over Kildare after Canty and Murphy failed to recover from their respective injuries. O’Neill notched up two points with Masters scoring once. Elsewhere, the increasingly influential Michael Cussen will start up front alongside Daniel Goulding and John Hayes.

The winners will book their place in the All-Ireland final date on September 21, where they will meet the winners of the Tyrone v Wexford semi-final. Kerry are not due to name their starting line-up until tomorrow night.

Cork (v Kerry) : Alan Quirke, Diarmuid Duggan, Derek Kavanagh, Anthony Lynch, Brian O’Regan, Ger Spillane, Kieran O’Connor, Alan O’Connor, Pearse O’Neill, Donncha O’Connor, Seamus Mac Maistir, Sean O’Brien, Daniel Goulding, Michael Cussen, John Hayes
