Sarah Galvin of Heritage Hampers in Carrigaline scooped the top award at last night’s inaugural Cork Enterprising Business Woman of the Year Award.
Sarah was one of seven women to make it to the final of the competition including Ciara Feely Cahalane of Find a conference Venue, www.FindaConferenceVenue.com , Laura Curtin - of COMMUNiCATE PR, Julia Lynes of EazyCork a relocation, translation and language course company, Denise O’Callaghan of Delicious Gourmet Foods, Samantha Rathling of Expect Recruitment Ltd and Christine Winning, Corporate Care Relocation Ltd. Each of these contestants was judged on the originality of their business, their success, innovation and creativity within the business and sheer bravery and determination. Adrienne Rodgers Assistant CEO of the Cork City Enterprise Board last evening congratulated Sarah and all of the women who had entered the competition. She said that the caliber of the enterprising women who submitted applications for the competition was extremely high and that although it had been very difficult to choose just one woman worthy of the award that Sarah was a very deserving winner.
Sarah Galvin established Heritage Hampers , an innovation in the Irish Christmas hamper and gift market in 1994. Today the company provides a diverse range of hampers and gifts including Christmas, Thank You, Good Luck, anniversary and mother and baby hampers. |
