The French based PSA Peugeot-Citroen is reported to be open to a partnership with both BMW and Mercedes to develop a new range of petrol engines. BMW has had a long-standing partnership with PSA in developing petrol engines. Now the German company has said that it is also open to developing engines with rival Daimler Benz. Daimler is believed to be open to such a partnership.
