Toyota is encouraging Avensis buyers to look at their 1.6 litre petrol engine value in advance of the VRT changes. Toyota claims that buyers can save up to €1,600 on Avensis and €730 on Auris Petrol models. The Toyota Avensis 1.6 Petrol (Aura and Strata) will increase in price by approximately €1,100, while your annual Road Tax will also increase by €172 a year. Toyota believes that if you buy any new Avensis 1.6 petrol model now, you will save approximately €1,100 immediately, with a further €500 saving in road tax, if you own the car over 3 years. This is a combined saving of approximately €1,600, if you buy before July 1st. The Toyota Auris Terra 1.4 Petrol will increase in price by approximately €400, while your annual motor tax will increase by €110 a year. Therefore if you buy any Auris 1.4 petrol model now, you will save approximately €400 immediately and €330 in motor tax, if you own the car over 3 years. That is a total saving of approximately €730 and it's the kind of pre-July savings that petrol car buyers have the potential to make. |
