Thursday, 20th April, 2017 1:01am

Do you think you have what it takes to be in the next Little Mix or One Direction?

Well, if you do you better get down to Merchant’s Quay Shopping Centre early today!

‘The X Factor’ is back in Cork and is on the lookout for the next huge music star, as they trawl Britain and Ireland on the 2017 audition tour.

It kicks off at 11am but it’s first come, first served, so you best be early!

Presenter Dermot O’Leary said: “2016 was a fantastic year for ‘The X Factor’ and now we’re about to kick start the auditions for 2017. We found some incredible talent and some amazing voices last year and now it could be your turn. Just one audition could change your life so if you think you’ve got what it takes then why don’t you apply?”

The X Factor auditions are now open to anyone aged 14 or over but anyone under the age of 18 will need their parent or guardian’s permission to apply and they will also need their parent or guardian to accompany them to their audition.

The X Factor auditions take place on Thursday 20 April in Merchant’s Quay Shopping Centre, from 11am- 6pm.
