A night of trad for Brú

Wednesday, 6th September, 2017 6:07pm

Dust off your dancing shoes! A night of trad music will take place on Thursday 14 September in the Blarney Woollen Mills Hotel.

All proceeds from the night will go to Brú Columbanus, an independent Cork charity that provides accommodation to the relatives of seriously ill patients in Cork hospitals and the hospice.

Brú Colombanus relies on donations and fundraising initiatives to cover the running costs of its 26 bed facility based in Cardinal Way, Wilton.

The event will feature Mags McCarthy, Pat Kelleher, Jim O’Connell and Kieran Cotter.

Mags McCarthy is from Dripsey and is known for her simultaneous fiddle playing and rhythmic Irish dancing while Pat Kelleher is a folk singer and five string banjo player who performs Irish folk music and ballads.

The trad fundraiser will take place in the Blarney Woollen Mills Hotel at 7.30pm on Thursday 14 September. Tickets are €15 and are available from Brú Columbanus, 021-4345754 or 087-2787 074.
