Voxpro founders to be honoured by Cork Chamber

Wednesday, 18th October, 2017 10:07am

Cork Chamber has this morning announced the ‘Outstanding Achievement in Business Award’ for 2017 is to be presented to Dan and Linda Kiely.

The Kielys are the co-founders of Voxpro, which Cork Chamber has described as one of Cork’s greatest business success stories after growing from just six employees in 2002 to 2,700 in 2017.
Voxpro was recently acquired for an estimated $150 million, by Canadian outsourcing firm TELUS International.

The ‘Outstanding Achievement in Business Award’ will be presented to Dan and Linda Kiely at Cork Chamber’s Dublin Dinner on Tuesday 21 November in Dublin.

The company that Dan and Linda founded in a room above a pub in Cork city is now Ireland’s largest international provider of customer experience, technical support and sales operations.
Voxpro partners with global tech giants such as Google and Airbnb and has offices in Dublin and internationally.

Cork Chamber said that despite the company’s “stellar growth” its headquarter remains in Cork, a fact both Dan and Linda take great pride in.

Bill O’Connell, President of Cork Chamber, said: “Voxpro are long-standing members of Cork Chamber and also previous recipients of the Cork Company of the Year Award. Dan and Linda are deserving of this award not just for their many business achievements but also because they are fantastic ambassadors for Ireland and the Cork region in particular.

“Growing our indigenous businesses is a priority and through their success with Voxpro Dan and Linda illustrate, in a way that a report or promotional campaign never could, that it is possible for a world-class company to grow and prosper from a base in Ireland.”

Speaking after the announcement Dan Kiely said: “Linda and I are hugely honoured to be chosen to receive this award from Cork Chamber. Our dream for Voxpro was to make it the first Irish outsourcing company to go global and we believed that with ambition and hard work we could make that happen. We have been in business in Cork for over two decades and as the company began to expand rapidly in recent years we were committed to achieving that dream from a headquarters in our home city of Cork.”

Linda added, “Both Dan and I love working in Cork and in Ireland so there was never a question of moving the business once it started to grow. We have seen through our offices in both Dublin and Cork that Ireland has all the ingredients needed for companies like ours to thrive and that’s the message we have been delivering abroad for years.”

This is the seventh year the award has been presented at the black-tie event and Dan and Linda will join a distinguished group with previous recipients including Sean O’Driscoll of Glen Dimplex Group; Leslie Buckley of INM, Digicel and Saongroup; Brian McCarthy of Fexco; Darina Allen of Ballymaloe; Hugh Mackeown of Musgrave Group and Dick Lehane of EMC.
