Airport run-way!

Thursday, 19th October, 2017 10:03am

Calling all runners!

Cork Airport’s popular five kilometer run returns next month.

Not only is the event suitable for all levels of fitness, it is also one of Ireland’s most distinctive runs, as participants will be gracing the runway of Cork Airport for a 5km route at midnight on Friday 17 November.

Cork Airport’s Managing Director, Niall MacCarthy said: “For one special night, the Cork Airport team will grant a rare opportunity for participants to run our runway. The event always proves very popular and it’s a great way for the runners and indeed our passengers of the south of Ireland to see the airport like never before.”

The run is as part of Spar's Fitlive series and people can enter at Entry costs €25 and includes a goodie bag, refreshments and fruit, race chip timing, crossing line video and a special event t-shirt.
