Colleges gear up for Campus Cycle Week

Wednesday, 7th March, 2018 4:13pm

Another Campus Cycle Week has rolled around.
All third level institutions in Cork will take part in the event, running from 12-16 March.

Intended to highlight the health, environmental and other benefits of cycling to college, the event launched last month at UCC's Green Campus Forum.

This month's event also encompasses CIT, Cork College of Commerce, St John’s Central College, and Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa, as well as CUH.

The highlight of the week will be a screening of ‘Why We Cycle,’ a Dutch film premiering in Ireland, at Boole 3 on Wednesday 14 March at 8pm.

Other events include bike repair workshops and discussions at various campus locations throughout the week, and two lunchtime cycles.
