Monday, 12th March, 2018 10:12am

A past UCC student is recovering in a Spanish hospital after being seriously injured in a car accident.

Louise Lynch, from Kerry, remains in a critical condition with internal injuries, cranial and abdominal injuries as well as many fractured bones.

The accident occurred on 24 February in Badajoz, in the south west of Spain.

The 21 year old was in Spain teaching English to primary school students.

Her parents Seamus and Nora have set up a GoFundMe account to help Louise with ongoing expenses with hospital treatment, travel and accommodation costs in Spain.

Her family have all travelled over to Spain to be with her and are hoping to raise €100,000.
