Drugs found during search in Knocknaheeny

Gardaí last night seized cocaine and cannabis in a house on the northside of Cork city. 

Gardaí from Gurranabraher executed a search warrant at a house in Courtown Drive, Knocknaheeny shortly before 10pm last night. 

During the course of the search, gardaí seized €5,600 worth of cannabis herb and €1,400 of cocaine. 

A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Gurranabraher Garda Station.

The man has since been released without charge and a file is to be prepared for the DPP.
