Let there be love

I hope you all enjoy Valentines Day, particularly the women, in the knowledge that most men hate it!!!.  The man is expected to book a restaurant on Valentines night and even though he knows that every restaurant in the city is going to be heaving which means the service will be second-rate and the food won’t be up to scratch either, but still he has to endure it. 

Men are expected to buy cards with stupid verses, mass produced and with pictures of red velvet hearts on the outside and we’re also expected to fork out for flowers that have in some cases up to 50 per cent hiked onto the normal price and if that wasn’t bad enough you get fewer flowers for money because the cunning florists are trying to make them go further.

Men are also supposed to produced gifts of underwear or jewellery and what do we get in return, sweet damn all.  Latest survey reveals that only four out of every 10 men get a valentine present while eight out of 10 women do; serious grounds for discrimination there.  Mind you those two out of 10 men who don’t bother have some courage!!! 
Forget the second rate over priced flowers and the ditto with the meal instead I reckon we should give the woman the cash. 

Cash is king don’t you know, well on the other 364 days of the year it is anyway, but this is the one day that we men must endure being fleeced and stressed and all in the name of love!!! (Yeah right, in the name of commerce if we are to be honest, but you could never admit that!)
