Cheerio Stan If one home qualifying match for the Euro championships was worth Ä10 million to the FAI just think of what qualifying would have been worth. Eamonn Dunphy was telling me during the week it would have been worth over Ä200 million to the organisation, so it’s a sum not to be scoffed at. More reason to find an international calibre manager, pay him a million plus a year, plus a million bonus to reach the world cup in 2010. Sounds like a sensible investment to me considering the ultimate payback if successful. As the fella say’s “you have to speculate to accumulate”…. The Neil Prendeville Show airs 9am - 12pm, Monday - Friday on Cork’s 96FM |
