Page 1 of 2 Kate Perry singing about Kissing girls is, in my opinion an insult to women. While some may just see it as a harmless ditty it does nothing to further the cause of women in a mans world. It's another link in the chain of this new cool fashion I like to call "designer lesbianism". Call me a fuddy duddy , I don't care, I also believe that page three topless girls in the Sun also disrespect Women and portrays them as nothing more than a sex object, a piece of meat. Years ago I would have had no problem with topless page three's, as an adolescent I even bought tabloids for the sole purpose of semi naked girls and the problem pages if I'm to be honest, but sense is wasted on the youth as they say. Jordan and GlendaThis week all three Red Tops carried a front page caption and photo of Glenda Gilson and Jordan, all tarted up in bikini's, with headlines like "I want to bed Glenda", Gilson is even quoted as stating that "all Jordan wanted to do with me is sneak away for a bit of girl on girl action". Is that all she's see's herself as good for? How pathetic, stoking the fires of belief that women are ever increasingly being seen as nothing more than thick, brainless morons, the better looking the thicker. That the best that two or more women can do together is get off with each other, prattle on about clothes and make-up or talk about their boyfriends. It's women like these two and songs like 'I kissed a girl' that make it worse. Women are made to look even more pathetic when you add the lines "I hope my boyfriend don't mind it' endorsing the long held belief that women need the affirmation of men and will always be the weaker sex. FameThis society is riddled by women who will do anything for their five minutes of fame, even if it includes belittling their sisters. The epidemic of girl bands who parade their sexuality instead of talent and Newspapers who continue to feed the caveman male mentality that has to have women as sex object, will keep the bimbo female alive and well. Songs like Perry's really shouldn't have adults wondering what to say to their children when they ask about it because there is nothing wrong with a girl kissing a girl, lesbians if you will. What should be debated is why women allow other women make a total mockery of their sex. Getting fitI am back on TV in about three weeks time, on a new Munster channel called Channel South, I mention it because I am well into my first week of get fit fast Boot Camp, high intensity training every morning at 6.30 and a diet that consists of egg white omelettes, veg, plain meat and fish and four litres of water a day. Try doing a three hour radio show with all that water on board and the loo on a different fIoor! Strangely I have begun to crave things that I never even looked at before. |
