Along with a range of traditional pubs there is a growing number of local restaurants offering a variety of dining options.

The latest addition to the town's amenities is the brand new Charleville Park Hotel located just outside the town centre on the Limerick Road.

A major hotel was one facility that Charleville had previously been lacking but this has been more than made up for with the construction of this ultra-modern four-star hotel.

Accommodation includes 90 luxury en-suite rooms including five suites while the hotel offers a complete range of services with banqueting for up to 400 people and can take conferences for up to 550 delegates.

Facilities at the hotel include a business centre with dedicated meeting rooms a restaurant specialising in local produce and a carvery bar, serving morning coffee and carvery lunch. An extensive bar food menu will be offered seven days a week.

The on-site leisure club includes a 25-metre swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa pools aerobics hall and a fully equipped gym and is due to open in September.

Back in the town centre a number of new developments have added to the town's retail appeal. There is a long established SuperValu on the Main Street as well as a variety of local stores that have built solid reputations.

There is also plenty of competition with a Lidl also open and the latest edition to the town's retail landscape, the Charleville Town Centre Development.

Anchored by Dunnes Stores the development incorporates retail, offices, and residential accommodation.

Located between Main Street and Bakers Lane the development adds to the town centre rather than competing with it and includes 17 retail units with 450 car parking spaces set out over three levels.
