Smear backlog cleared

JUST over one year after it first emerged that patients in Cork were waiting up to six months for results of routine smear tests and that there was a backlog of between 10,000 and 12,000 cervical smear tests in Cork, the HSE South has confirmed that these backlogs have now been cleared.
