Media helping to 'normalise' cocaine say Cork Local Drug Task Force

The Irish media's current fascination with cocaine use following three recent tragic deaths is helping to 'normalise' use of the drug says David Lane of the Cork Local Drug Task Force.

Sr. Miriam is Cork Person of the Month. Sr. Miriam O'Connell of Mallow has been named Cork Person of Month to mark her work with the Anchor Centre for addiction counselling at Spa Glen, Mallow. Sr. Miriam, originally from Lackandarra.

A Cork lobby group is calling on the government to introduce legislation on abortion in Ireland.  At a recent event held by the Cork Women’s Right to Choose group, members of the group said the time had come for government to face up to the job of legalising abortion in the country.
