Cork v Limerick Saturday in Gaelic Grounds @ 7.30 pm
The difficulties that Limerick are facing makes the task of retaining their Division 1 status a tough one and while they put up a gallant display against Galway, the end result was a defeat, and another to Cork will just add a bit more pressure on coach Justin McCarthy.

The anger and intense frustration expressed by the Quintas Group in the wake of their failure to rescue Cork City FC is understandable. I can state without any fear of contradiction that this anger and frustration is reflective of the collective fury of the City supporters as they see their beloved club propelled into history. This debacle should never have occurred. It was avoidable.

Dedpite limited action in the top two divisions of the AIB All-Ireland Leagues, there was still plenty of action for Cork teams over the weekend.
Clonakilty won the big local derby relegation clash with Highfield in the Second Division of the league as Midleton's lead at the top of Division Three was whittled down to a point.
