Transmit vibrancy This colour and high technical tempo of the game is vitally important because modern Television demands these qualities in order to transmit the vibrancy so necessary for viewers at home to ponder seriously the value of what we as a League and Cork City as a club, have to offer. The actuality that most of the live televised games this season have been something of a disappointment is worth further consideration. We are living in a time when television decides much of the opinions of our society. The older adage that created the thought that if the papers said it must be true has given way to the more contemporary notion that if it’s important it must be on television. The game last Friday looked impressive on television and the reaction I have received in the aftermath of the event underlines the importance of coming across well on this medium.
In the meantime I must admit to losing two of the six Cup Finals I have been involved in. The acidity of both those occasion remain interred somewhere in my system. This will become important to me in the weeks to come. Some things never change. |
