City keepers train with Ireland squad

Cork City goalkeepers Mark McNulty and Alan Smith have been included in the Republic of Ireland squad’s three-day training camp at Fota Island Resort.

The goalkeeping duo joined a host of experienced players for three days training behind closed doors yesterday (Wednesday).

It was also annouced this week that former City and Ringmahon Rangers player Alan Browne has been included in the squad. It’s the Preston North End midfielder’s first call-up to the senior set-up.

A number of senior players will report into camp next week as preparations begin for the friendly against Mexico (1 June), the international friendly against Uruguay (4 June) and the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Austria (11 June).
