Fake don’t bake - mousse is great for sticky weather

Wednesday, 11th July, 2018 5:01pm

The glorious weather we have had of late is wonderful for us all. It does mean less clothing and we should be all wearing a full body SPF all day every day.

We can, of course, go down the fake tanning route to look our glowing best. The gLove is the world’s first tanning glove and it’s launching throughout Ireland. It’s the ultimate in tanning technology - far more advanced than mitt tanning - the gLove gives an incredible finish with the pinpoint precision only your fingers have. It’s made of the highest quality materials, hand-stitched and is machine washable and reusable. It’s currently available in one size that fits most hands but will also be coming soon in varied sizes: small, medium and mansize.

Most amazing inventions arise out of a genuine need for something that works better than what has come before. Irish entrepreneur Janice O’Sullivan found that regular tanning mitts never seemed to get into tricky areas like in-between fingers and toes and left tell-tale streaks and unevenness. It led her to invent and design the gLove. With The gLove, you can now tan in velvety soft comfort using the extra precision of your fingers without worrying about the uneven tanning that normal mitts leave behind. What’s more, the gLove cuts the time down of normal mitts as precision helps any type of tanning solution be it mousse lotion or spray.

Bellamianta Ultra-Dark Self-Tanning Tinted Mousse (€25) is a luxurious and easy to use mousse offering a deep olive glow that's set to become the number one tan for the summer season. True to the nutritional nature of all Bellamianta products, Ultra Dark Self-Tanning Tinted Mousse is bursting with natural extracts making it far more than a beauty accessory but the ultimate skin treatment too.

This lightweight streak-free formula dries in 60 seconds – meaning you can carry on with the rest of your day. Ultra-Dark’s gorgeous olive-toned guide colour means it's ready-to-wear, while the tan continues to develop into that deep, olive glow, nourishing your skin as it works. For the deepest darkest glow, leave Ultra Dark to develop for 4-6 hours. It works well on dry skin, and to be honest, the coverage is amazing.

Cocoa Brown by Marissa Carter recently launched Cocoa 2 Go, a travel size mousse. Following on from the one hour wardrobe of tans, Cocoa 2 Go is the perfect travel size bottle that you can toss straight into your carry-on, so looking bronzed and beautiful will be on your itinerary, no matter your destination. With a fresh new holiday scent, the travel mousse will give a flawless golden tan in one hour. Cocoa 2 Go is available in Original Medium, Dark and Extra Dark from €5.95 at stockists nationwide.

BPerfect Cosmetics 10 Second Tan has launched a new mousse formula (€25) with an even deeper darker shade. The new mousse is available in three scents, medium coconut and dark watermelon as well as the new deeper ultra dark mango. This shade is perfect for those who wish to go darker.

All three offerings leave the skin with a hydrating tan without the dreaded fake tan smell associated with this beauty regime. BPerfect Cosmetics Tanning Range works with your skins natural tone to create the perfect shade for you. The new mousse formula is easy to apply and leaves you with an instant colour in only ten seconds that will develop into a golden hue and last three-five days.
