Waso good for your skin

Wednesday, 13th September, 2017 6:10pm

The skin gods have spoken and lord have they delivered a treat. Shiseido has released an entirely new skincare line, Waso, a pared back line based on food and wellbeing philosophies. The range is aimed at the younger generation and has the price-tags to match too but what about the range itself?

Step 1: Weekly scrub

Soft+Cushy Polisher (€28)

We're starting with the best here because this product is our favourite of the lot, and that's saying something. The exfoliant goes on feeling super soft so it isn't harsh like exfoliants tend to be and it lifts off dull, dead skin cells to leave your skin clean and fresh feeling.

Step 2: Daily cleanse

Quick Gentle Cleanser (€25)

This is infused with honey and removes impurities and refreshes your skin, without stripping away essential moisture. This gel cleanser requires no lathering and gently removes makeup and impurities.

Step 3: Daily hydrating serum

Fresh Jelly Lotion (€25)

This lotion is see-through, unusually, but you can use it exactly as a hydrating serum as a base layer after cleansing or before applying your foundation.

Step 4: Moisturise

For normal to dry skin:

Waso Clear Mega-Hydrating Gel (€35)

A clear cream that is dewy yet but provides lasting rich moisture to plump, soften and nourish your skin throughout the entire day to maintain its best condition.

Color-smart Day Moisturizer (€35) is a day moisturiser that makes skin brighter with hydration. This one comes out a slighty grey-tinged colour but does a quick change into a peach-tinted SPF that evens out blotchy skin.

For normal to oily skin:

Quick Matte Moisturizer (oil-free) (€35)

A gel emulsion that instantly mattifies skin, no matter how sticky, and makes the condition last. This product is every oily-skinned person's dream, it's lightweight with no stickiness.

Color-smart Day Moisturizer (oil-free) (€35)

A day moisturiser that immediately makes it one tone brighter with matte finish. Comes out a milky colour but develops in to a peach tint that even works on darker skin tones.

The Waso range will be available from October in pharmacies across Cork.
