We want the city retained Dear Editor, Re an article in the 13 October 2016 edition of the Cork Independent about merging Cork’s local authorities. I think that, along with the majority of people living in Cork City and its suburbs, we want the city retained as a separate entity from the county and that the city boundaries need to be extended to reflect the city’s true size and to enhance its status.
