The future of work and learning

Thursday, 12th September, 2019 8:37am

The Irish Institute of Training and Development’s (IITD) Professional Practice Certificate (Train the Trainer) can offer this opportunity.

Within the world of work, several factors mean the workplace of the future will be a very different place than it is currently. Previously, organisations offered clear pathways for their employees, but this certainty will soon become outdated.

The best place for organisations to source talent is from within, but nurturing talent is key too. An internal supply of talent demonstrates that there is a value placed on the employees’ skills.

Completing the IITD Professional Practice Certificate can establishes someone as a learning and development (L&D) specialist. The biggest difference between an IITD course and others, according to the IITD, is that people will be taught by the very best course facilitators who learned through implementing industry best practice, not simply from a textbook.

The Professional Practice Certificate is not simply a course – it is the beginning of a career. The course begins with Module 1 (QQI Level 6 Component Award 6N3325) running over four consecutive Saturdays at The Kingsley Hotel. There’s a break of a week before Module 2 (QQI Level 6 Component Award 6N3226) starts on Saturday 2 November with the course finishing on 28 November. Enrol in this course and you could be a fully qualified trainer before Christmas.

Registering for this course will entitle you to free entry to one IITD event in Cork – a great opportunity to meet likeminded learning professionals and learn about a current and relevant topic related to L&D.

The IITD, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, is the non-profit professional body representing members concerned with human resource training and development in Ireland. The IITD leads the L&D profession in Ireland by inspiring and promoting excellence in practice to develop individuals and organisations to reach their full potential.

The IITD host the National L&D Conference in Croke Park Stadium – tickets are now on sale for the 4 December event. Check out conference.iitd.ie. For details of the IITD’s Professional Practice Certificate, contact the office on 045-881166.
