Science show returns to CIT

Wednesday, 9th January, 2019 5:01pm

It's all about engineering, science and technology in CIT next week as the CIT Engineering, Science and Technology Roadshow returns after travelling all over Cork.

Its aim is to provide prospective students, teachers and guidance counsellors with information on CIT courses. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore their options in the areas of engineeering, science, technology and computing by engaging with current students, past graduates and lecturers of CIT. The college has been successful in producing numerous national and European award winners in engineering, science and technology. In addition, it wins multi-million euro in research funding on an annual basis.

Michael Loftus, Head of Faculty of Engineering & Science at CIT said: “Many students have the talent and aptitude to study engineering, science, technology and computing,” adding that careers in all of these areas provide exciting opportunities for women and men alike.

“Men continue to be attracted to study in these areas and more and more women are being attracted into both new, and traditional, courses,” he said.

The CIT Engineering, Science and Technology Roadshow takes place on Monday 14 January at 7pm in Nexus Hall at CIT.
