High success rate at recent auction

A recent auction saw a 93 per cent success rate where properties from across Munster went under the hammer.

There was a wide range of properties from across the province offered for sale including family homes, agricultural lands and investment properties.

The first lot of the evening was a former school house in Kilkee in county Clare, which was offered to the market in partnership with RE/MAX Property Specialists. The property offers a great opportunity to develop an ideal dream holiday/family home and was popular with buyers for across the country. Bidding opened at €35,000 and after a number of interested parties had raised their hands, the hammer fell at €60,000.

Moving to Cork, where in partnership with Liam Murphy Auctioneers, a well presented four-bedroom detached house was successfully sold in Newmarket. This ideal family home had strong local interest in the lead into the public auction and after over 25 bids at the live auction, the property sold for €117,000.

In Bantry a superbly located retail unit was sold for €78,000 in partnership with Pat Maguire Properties. Elsewhere, in Limerick, a beautiful four-bedroom dormer style house was offered for sale in partnership with Carroll Auctioneers. This well located family home was again subject to strong local interest before the auction and the vendor accepted an offer of €240,000 prior to 9 May.

In Kerry, a beautiful three bed semi-detached property was offered in partnership with West Property Group. 21 Doonard Crescent, Tarbert is ideally situated close to amenities and is perfect for a first time buyer. A number of parties expressed an interest in this fine property before it was sold for €105,000.

The Munster Property Auction are now taking entries for their upcoming online auction on 13 June as well as a public auction on 11 July.

The auction team are also taking entries for their specialised national Holiday Home Property Auction which will take place in Dublin on 18 July and will offer holiday homes from across the country.
