Looking for the right flooring solution for your home or business?

Barry Developments specialises in polished concrete and terrazzo overlays, providing work surfaces and flooring solutions across Cork. An efficient solution for both industrial and residential applications, polished concrete flooring is affordable, durable, stain resistant, low maintenance, environmentally friendly and very appealing to the eye because of its light reflective properties.

Available polished concrete finishes at Barry Developments include:

1. Platinum – intended for those who want a high-gloss appearance and it includes lots of grinding stages to ensure you get a desirable effect.

2. Gold – intended for those who want a less ballast-like appearance achieved by less grinding but with the same glossy effect.

3. Silver – includes lots of grinding stages but no polishing with a matte surface finish.

4. Bronze – includes the least amount of grinding and polishing, except for the top layer with less concrete exposed and a shiny appearance in the final result.

Terrazo overlays

The Extreme product range at Barry Developments combines abilities that make it possible to create seamless high performance terrazzo floors. The overlay is classified as an ultra high performance concrete with:

* No shrinkage or contraction

* Extremely high flexural strength

* Extremely high compressive strength

* High abrasion resistance

One of the biggest advantages of this product is that the characteristics can be achieved in a 10mm thick application.

Industrial applications

Due to its technical performance, Extreme can be used in heavy industrial applications and with the addition of special hard aggregates, Extreme will withstand heavy truck traffic, belt vehicles, automatic guided vehicles and more.
